Brick and Mortar is the culinary vision of husband-and-wife duo Chef Jason Ruhe and Hope Montgomery—brought to life by a shared passion for thoughtful food, curated wine selections, and warm, intentional hospitality.

After years of catering and consulting, they dreamed of creating a space of their own—a true brick and mortar inspired by their travels, love of cooking, and the joy of gathering and hosting.

That dream found its home in the heart of St. Petersburg, where rustic ingredients meet refined technique, and every dish tells a story. Since opening Brick and Mortar, the couple has continued to grow their culinary family—opening Seaworthy Fish + Bar (Feb 2020) and Pulpo Kitchen + Lounge (Dec 2024)—each concept reflecting their commitment to creativity, community, and culinary inspiration.
